Putney Mechanical Company, Inc.

Waverly Putney started Putney Mechanical in 1946 as a heating and air company focused on oil-fired boilers and hot water heat, and it has since grown into a three-generation Farmville contractor. Owner Parker Terry joined in 1981. Today it installs and repairs heat pumps, ductless mini-splits and furnaces, installs Generac generators and water heaters, and serves homes and businesses in Farmville, Prince Edward and surrounding counties. A preventive maintenance program and an energy service agreement are offered, along with financing. Technicians are licensed and insured, and free written estimates apply to new installations and replacements. Recent projects include a log cabin, a home addition and several renovations, and a Buckingham home. Customer testimonials, an HVAC basics page and a products page help buyers compare options.
